Tony and Suzanne: Imperial Lane Auckland Wedding
2014 has kicked off with a bang. Coming off an amazing wedding shoot in Sayulita, Mexico, I flew to Auckland, New Zealand to capture the special day for Tony and Suzanne. The best part about this wedding was that I met the couple while rock climbing in Argentina back in 2011. Soon after they were engaged, Tony messaged me about coming to New Zealand to shoot their wedding. How could I say no? So I didn’t. We booked the date and I was bound for the land of the Kiwis and their awesome accent.
The big day was a blur full of memories. I started the morning going on a run with the bride (a tradition for all my destination weddings). From there, it was with the boys at the Waiuku Rugby Club, back to the girls at Suzanne’s parents house before heading to the St. Stephens Chapel for the ceremony. It was the tightest venue I’ve ever shot in, but so beautifully intimate I could see why the couple chose it. We began the rest of the night in Auckland at Imperial Lane where family and friends (and more friends who could not fit in the chapel) gathered for a warm reception.
It was a wonderful way to start my two months in New Zealand.
