Rebecca and Jeffrey: Coffee Shop and Golden Gate Park Engagement

I love when a couple takes up my offer to try something different for their engagement shoot. It’s a collaboration that starts with them picking a theme or location that’s special to them. In this case, they chose Coffee Mission, a local coffee shop that Jeffrey loves frequenting. We decided to pair this with a natural setting in Golden Gate Park for the second part of the shoot.
Sitting right at the corner of busy Mission and 24th, the shop provided a well light and quiet respite for us to shoot. This was my first time meeting the couple, so I wanted to just let them spend a few minutes getting used to the camera. We joked around and soon after I found the smiles that I was looking for. When it was time to leave, Melissa, the owner of the establishment prepped them a gift basket with some cold brew. It was so beautiful that it gave me the idea to set up a little picnic for our shoot in Golden Gate Park. We had great weather and I loved how comfortable the couple was with each other. Bonus points: Melissa prepared a carafe of cold brew for me too!
